Your Questions Answered
-
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking as soon as you have your wedding date secured. Prime dates book quickly, especially during peak wedding season, and availability is limited.
-
What is required to reserve my date?
A signed contract and retainer are required to officially reserve your wedding date. Dates are not held without both.
-
How does booking work?
A 50% deposit and signed contract are required to hold your date. This deposit is non-refundable.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
All cancellation and rescheduling policies are outlined in your contract at the time of booking.
-
Do you offer bridal trials?
Yes, bridal trials are highly recommended. Trials allow us to collaborate on your vision, refine details, and ensure your style feels perfect and effortless on your wedding day. Trials are typically done no sooner than 6 weeks before the wedding, and can be done even the week of your wedding. Offered Monday- Fridays, in the salon.
-
What is included in a trial?
A one-hour session where we will chat about your hair, establish a game plan, and do a rough draft of your bridal hair. It’s all part of the experience, like trying on your wedding dress. (You wouldn’t wait until the wedding day to try on your dress for the first time would you?)
-
How soon do you normally do a trial? Can it be done on a weekend?
Trials are hour-long appointments done in Bend. Ideally, they are usually done 4-6 weeks before your wedding. Weekends, especially during peak wedding season (May-October) might be unavailable. However, I do try to work with your schedule best I can. I can offer evening trials during the week. I will do my best to work with you and accommodate your situation.
-
I won’t be there until the day before my wedding and won’t need a trial so do I get a discount?
No, I am very insistent on a trial. This is important for not only establishing a relationship with you, getting to know your specific hair, and also developing a game plan so I can be more efficient in making your Pinterest dreams come true. If you can’t do a trial I understand, but there is no discount.
-
How much time should I anticipate for bridal hair?
Budget an hour for the bride and 30 minutes for bridal party guests.
-
What size bridal party/How many people can you accommodate on the wedding day?
This largely depends on your timeline. My ideal bridal party size is around 8 people, though I can typically accommodate up to 9–10 on my own with a reasonable getting-ready timeline. Larger bridal parties or shorter timelines may require an additional stylist, which can be arranged if needed.
-
Do you usually have an assistant or is it just you?
It is usually just me. I am very protective of my work. My brides like knowing they are getting my “look” when they hire me. If I bring on an assistant for larger parties it’s usually to help prep the hair and curl so then I can add my look and hold to the style.
-
What hair prep is required before the wedding?
Clean, dry hair is typically recommended unless otherwise discussed. Detailed prep instructions will be provided prior to your trial and wedding day. Before your wedding day, getting a proper haircut is highly encouraged for you and your bridal party.
-
One of my Bridesmaids decided to drop out of hair, do I still need to pay?
Yes, I schedule based on the time needed to get everyone’s hair done in order to accommodate other events. Small changes make the difference between scheduling one or more events.
-
Will you stay until I get ready and dressed incase there are any hair adjustments to be made?
I can stay, but this is for an extra charge and needs to be discussed when you book so I can plan ahead and we can add this to your contract.
-
What if my timeline changes?
Wedding timelines often shift. I’m happy to adjust where possible, though early start fees or additional stylist support may apply depending on changes.
-
Do you work with extensions?
Yes. I work with a multitude of extension types and can guide you on whether extensions would best support your desired style. I recommend the brand Luxy Hair for all your clip in needs. If you are looking for something more permanent- hand-tied extensions are a great option, I am happy to instal those for you as well prior to the wedding day festivities. Please no halo extensions.
-
Why do you charge more for clip extensions for the bridesmaids?
It’s all time management, I budget about 30 minutes per bridesmaid. Curling and installing clip extensions add more time.
